Body Discovered in Neemka Village
In the early hours of Monday, Yogendra—known locally as Lucky—walked to his father Bhole Shankar’s farm carrying a mug of tea. Instead of finding his father resting, he came upon the farmer’s motionless body lying in the soil. The grisly discovery prompted Yogendra to call the police without delay.
Officers arrived promptly, cordoned off the area and handed it over to forensic specialists who began collecting evidence. The incident was registered as a homicide, with investigators zeroing in on the long‑standing land dispute between the two brothers.
Surveillance Video Highlights Suspect
Three separate investigative teams were formed to examine the murder. As part of their work, they reviewed footage from cameras positioned around the fields. The recording shows an individual approaching the plot shortly before the fatal blow, and the person bears a strong likeness to Devendra, the victim’s younger brother.
Police summoned Devendra for questioning, cross‑checking his statements against the video and other forensic data. The convergence of evidence led authorities to conclude that he was likely involved, and he was taken into custody later that night.
Murder Weapon Confiscated
Investigators also recovered a spade from the site, believed to be the instrument used in the attack. The tool now serves as a crucial piece of evidence as the case moves through the judicial process.
Law enforcement continues to reconstruct the chain of events that ended in the farmer’s death. Devendra will be presented before the appropriate court, and the probe remains open to uncover any further motives or accomplices.
